5月16日至19日，第十届中国生理学知识竞赛决赛在徐州医科大学落下帷幕。我校由国际教育学院与西英格兰学院联合组建的两支代表队，在本届比赛中双双取得一等奖的佳绩，为学校赢得荣誉，展现了我校全英教学和中外合作办学的国际化育人模式的丰硕成果。

From May 16 to 19, the finals of the 10th China Physiology Knowledge Competition concluded at Xuzhou Medical University. Our university fielded two teams jointly assembled by the School of International Education and the University of Westminster (UWEC), both of which achieved the outstanding result of winning First Prize in this edition of the competition, bringing honor to the university and demonstrating the fruitful outcomes of our institution's English-medium instruction and Sino-foreign cooperative education model.

本次竞赛由中国生理学知识竞赛组委会、徐州医科大学与江苏省生理科学学会共同主办，是全国唯一一项以英文为比赛语言的生理学专业赛事，旨在提升医学生对生理知识的临床应用能力与国际学术交流水平。赛事自2015年启动以来，已成为国内医学教育界具有高度影响力的学科竞赛平台。

Co-hosted by the Organizing Committee of the China Physiology Knowledge Competition, Xuzhou Medical University, and the Jiangsu Provincial Society of Physiology, this competition is the nation's only physiology discipline contest conducted entirely in English, aimed at enhancing medical students' clinical application of physiological knowledge and their capacity for international academic exchange. Since its inception in 2015, the competition has become a highly influential discipline contest platform in China's medical education community.

大赛吸引了来自全国111所高校的3000余名学生参加初赛，最终清华大学、复旦大学、中山大学、徐州医科大学、海南医科大学等33所高校的代表队晋级决赛。比赛分为线上笔试与线下口试两个环节，口试阶段更加入了即问即答、抢答等高强度环节，对选手的知识储备、临场反应和英文听说读写能力都提出了极高要求。

The competition attracted over 3,000 students from 111 universities nationwide to participate in the preliminary rounds, with teams from 33 universities including Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Xuzhou Medical University, and Hainan Medical University advancing to the finals. The competition consisted of two stages: an online written exam and an in-person oral exam. The oral stage further incorporated high-intensity formats such as instant Q&A and buzzer-beater responses, placing exceptionally high demands on contestants' knowledge base, quick thinking, and English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities.

由基础医学与生命科学学院生理学教研室团队悉心指导的“海医一队”由国际教育学院学生李哲远、张力壬、刘畅组成；“海医二队”由国际教育学院学生王嘉豪、柳岑晓与西英格兰学院学生纪然、戚饶婷组成。两支队伍在赛前历经两个多月高强度备赛，最终在全国赛场上脱颖而出，双双斩获一等奖。指导教师团队在备赛过程中全程陪伴、耐心指导，确保每位选手都能发挥出最佳水平，在全国舞台上绽放光彩。

"Team Hainan Medical University 1," carefully coached by the Physiology Teaching and Research Section of the School of Basic Medicine and Life Sciences, was composed of students Li Zheyuan, Zhang Liren, and Liu Chang from the School of International Education. "Team Hainan Medical University 2" consisted of students Wang Jiahao and Liu Senxiao from the School of International Education and students Ji Ran and Qi Raoting from the University of Westminster. Both teams underwent over two months of intensive preparation before the competition and ultimately stood out among competitors nationwide, both securing First Prize. The advisory teaching team accompanied and patiently guided the contestants throughout the preparation process, ensuring that every participant performed at their best and shone on the national stage.

值得一提的是，李哲远、张力壬、刘畅、柳岑晓、王嘉豪均为我校临床医学（全英班）本科学生，纪然与戚饶婷均为我校与英国西英格兰大学合作培养的中外合作办学项目学生，具有双学籍背景。此次在国家级专业竞赛场上与国内顶尖高校一同角逐，并最终荣获佳绩，充分展现了我校全英教育和中外合作办学的成效。

Notably, Li Zheyuan, Zhang Liren, Liu Chang, Liu Senxiao, and Wang Jiahao are all undergraduate students in the Clinical Medicine (English-medium Program) at our university, while Ji Ran and Qi Raoting are students enrolled in the Sino-foreign cooperative education program jointly developed with the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom, possessing dual enrollment status. Their participation in a national-level professional competition alongside top domestic universities and their ultimate success fully demonstrate the effectiveness of our university's English-medium education and Sino-foreign cooperative education initiatives.

此次竞赛不仅是一次专业知识的比拼，更是一场青春与智慧的较量。我校将继续优化办学模式，加强学生专业教育和素质教育，注重学生专业能力与国际视野的同步提升，持续为培养具备全球胜任力的医学人才而努力。

This competition was not merely a test of professional knowledge but also a contest of youth and wisdom. Our university will continue to optimize its educational model, strengthen students' professional education and holistic development, focus on the simultaneous enhancement of students' professional competencies and international perspectives, and remain committed to cultivating medical professionals with global competitiveness.
