海南医科大学座落在素有“椰城”之称的热带滨海城市——海南省省会海口市。其前身始于创立于1947年的海强医事技术学校和创立于1948年的私立海南大学医学院。现有城西（主校区）、桂林洋（新校区）和龙华等三个校区，占地1416.71亩。学校秉承以“厚德、严谨、博学、和谐”为核心内容的校训，不断弘扬“自强不息、团结向上、奋发有为”的精神，构建了“教学-临床-科研-国际合作-社会服务-文化传承”六位一体的医学教育体系，为国家培养了七万余名毕业生，是国家第一批卓越医生教育培养计划项目试点高校、教育部第一批专业综合改革试点本科院校、海南省特色高水平大学建设单位、国家紧急医学救援队（海南）牵头单位，全面开启了海南省独立培养高水平医学人才的新时代。

Hainan Medical University is located in Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province, a tropical coastal city known as the "Coconut City". Its origins can be traced back to Haiqiang Medical Technical School founded in 1947 and the Medical College of Private Hainan University established in 1948. It currently has three campuses: Chengxi (Main Campus), Guilinyang (New Campus) and Longhua, covering an area of 1,416.71 mu. Adhering to the school motto with "Virtue, Rigor, Erudition and Harmony" as its core, the university continuously promotes the spirit of "Self-improvement, Unity, Aspiration and Achievement". It has built an integrated medical education system featuring "Teaching - Clinical Practice - Research - International Cooperation - Social Service - Cultural Inheritance". Having cultivated more than 70,000 graduates for the country, it is one of the first pilot universities for the National Outstanding Doctor Education and Training Program, one of the first pilot undergraduate institutions for comprehensive specialty reform under the Ministry of Education, a construction unit of characteristic high-level universities in Hainan Province, and the leading unit of the National Emergency Medical Rescue Team (Hainan). It has ushered in a new era in which Hainan Province independently cultivates high-level medical talents.

The university has developed a comprehensive and multi-level talent training system recruiting students nationwide, covering full-time undergraduate, postgraduate (master’s and doctoral), international student education, adult education and continuing education. It currently has 15,340 full-time students, including 12,207 undergraduates (633 international students) and 1,760 master’s and doctoral students. The university employs 11,834 faculty, medical and administrative staff, among whom 1,100 are full-time teachers. Of the full-time teachers, 749 are based at the main campus, 479 hold senior professional titles, 163 are professors, and nearly 51.27% hold doctoral degrees. The institution boasts 1 Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2 recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 1 Yangtze River Scholar, 7 national-level candidates for the National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project, 4 National Outstanding Teachers, 1 National Famous Teacher of Traditional Chinese Medicine Higher Education, 5 scholars selected for the Ministry of Education’s Program for New Century Excellent Talents, and 15 Hainan Provincial Double-Hundred Talent Teams.

The university offers 36 undergraduate programs covering four disciplinary categories including Medicine, Science, Management and Engineering. It has 5 national first-class undergraduate program construction sites, 2 national featured specialties, and 3 national first-class undergraduate courses. There are one national experimental teaching demonstration center, one national clinical teaching and training demonstration center, and one national clinical (traditional Chinese medicine clinical) teaching and training demonstration center respectively. The university has three directly affiliated tertiary general hospitals with the largest scale in the province: Hainan Affiliated Hospital (Hainan General Hospital), the First Affiliated Hospital and the Second Affiliated Hospital, with a total of 7020 open beds. In addition, the university has 10 non-directly affiliated hospitals, 12 teaching hospitals and 2 jointly built centers for disease control and prevention, which provide strong support for clinical teaching. It boasts 15 national key clinical specialties and 7 provincial key disciplines. Clinical Medicine ranks among the top 5‰ in the ESI discipline rankings, and Pharmacology & Toxicology ranks among the top 1% in the ESI discipline rankings. The university currently holds the doctoral degree authorization point of the first-level discipline of Clinical Medicine, 5 master's degree authorization points of first-level disciplines including Basic Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Biology, as well as 5 professional master's degree authorization points covering Clinical Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy and Stomatology.

申请者应在海南医科大学规定的申请时间内登录海南医科大学国际学生申请服务系统https://ism.muhn.edu.cn/stu//进行在线申请，或登录海南医科大学国际教育学院网站https://www.muhn.edu.cn/gjxy/zsgl/xzzx.htm下载相关材料填写后，提交至邮箱：hnmu_enquire@muhn.edu.cn。

申请时间一般为每年的2月-7月底，建议申请者至少在7月中旬前完成申请。如需申请奖学金，请在5月20日前完成申请。

Applicants shall log in to the Hainan Medical University International Student Application Service System at https://ism.muhn.edu.cn/stu// to submit online applications within the application period specified by Hainan Medical University. Alternatively, applicants may visit the website of the College of International Education, Hainan Medical University at https://www.muhn.edu.cn/gjxy/zsgl/xzzx.htm to download relevant documents, complete them, and submit the materials via email to hnmu_enquire@muhn.edu.cn.

The general application period runs from February to the end of July each year. Applicants are advised to finish their applications no later than mid‑July. Those applying for scholarships must complete their applications by May 20.

（一）本科学历生教育

1. 个人基本条件：年龄：18-35周岁（自费生可适当放宽）；持外国有效普通护照的非中国籍公民；遵守中国法律、法规及学校规章制度； 诚实守信；身体健康；

2. 个人陈述及学习计划；

3. 学历认证报告：原则上须提供经当地教育部门公证的高中及以上毕业文凭或同等学历证书；

4. 成绩单：高中毕业成绩单（须提交公证件）；

5. 语言能力成绩报告：申请者须根据所申请项目的要求提供相应等级的汉语水平考试（HSK）成绩报告（汉语授课专业要求HSK4及以上证书）；

6. 护照：申请者须提供个人因私普通护照的个人信息页（护照有效期须大于1年）。原为中国公民、后加入外国国籍者，还须提供：户籍注销证明和加入其他国家国籍证明；

7. 入学申请表：在海南医科大学国际教育学院官网下载《海南医科大学国际学生入学申请表》填写并提交；

8. 其他材料：个人体检报告；经公证的无犯罪记录证明；其他可证明自己综合能力的 材料可根据实际情况自行提交。

Please complete and submit the following application materials

(1) Undergraduate Programs

1. Basic personal requirements: Age: 18–35 years old (the age limit may be appropriately relaxed for self-funded students); non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary foreign passport; abiding by Chinese laws, regulations and university rules; being honest and trustworthy; in good physical health.

2. Personal statement and study plan.

3. Academic qualification verification report: In principle, notarized high school or higher graduation diplomas or equivalent academic certificates issued by local education authorities must be provided.

4. Academic transcript: High school transcript (notarized copy is required).

5. Language proficiency score report: Applicants shall provide the corresponding Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) score report as required by the applied program (programs taught in Chinese require HSK Level 4 or above certificate).

6. Passport: Applicants must provide the information page of their ordinary private passport (the passport must be valid for more than 1 year). Those who were originally Chinese citizens and later acquired foreign nationality shall additionally provide: household registration cancellation certificate and proof of acquisition of foreign nationality.

7. Admission application form: Download, fill in and submit the Hainan Medical University International Student Admission Application Form from the official website of the School of International Education, Hainan Medical University.

8. Other documents: Personal physical examination report; notarized certificate of no criminal record; other documents that can demonstrate comprehensive abilities may be submitted at the applicant’s discretion.

（二）硕士研究生教育

1. 个人基本条件：年龄不超过38周岁（自费生可适当放宽）；持外国有效普通护照的非中国籍公民；遵守中国法律、法规及学校规章制度； 诚实守信；身体健康；

2. 个人陈述及学习计划（不少于1000字）；

3. 学位证书及学位认证报告：硕士专业申请者，须提交学士学位证书原件；在境外高校获学位证书的申请者原则上须提交中国教育部留学服务中心的学位认证报告。在中国境内高校获学位证书的申请者原则上须提供中国高等教育学生信息网（学信网）出具的学位认证报告。（应届生可先提交预计毕业证明，学位证书及学位认证报告须在入学前补交。已毕业的申请者应在申请时提供学位证书的认证报告）；

4. 成绩单：须提交本科期间完整的成绩单；

5. 两份推荐信：推荐人须为副教授或相应职称以上的学者，或者相关行业内的资深专业人士；

6. 护照：申请者须提供个人因私普通护照的个人信息页（护照有效期须大于1年）。原为中国公民、后加入外国国籍者，还须提供：户籍注销证明和加入其他国家国籍证明；

7. 入学申请表：在海南医科大学国际教育学院官网下载《海南医科大学国际学生入学申请表》填写并提交；

8.语言能力成绩报告：申请者须根据所申请项目的要求提供相应等级的汉语水平考试（HSK）成绩报告（硕士专业要求HSK5及以上证书）；

9. 其他材料：个人体检报告；经过公证的无犯罪记录证明；其他可证明自己综合能力的材料可根据实际情况自行提交。

(II) Master's Degree Education

1. Basic personal requirements: Age not exceeding 38 years old (the age limit may be appropriately relaxed for self-funded students); non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary foreign passport; abiding by Chinese laws, regulations and university rules; being honest and trustworthy; in good physical health.

2. Personal Statement and Study Plan (no less than 1,000 words).

3. Degree Certificate and Degree Verification Report: Applicants for master's programs must submit the original bachelor's degree certificate. Applicants who obtained degree certificates from overseas universities shall in principle submit the degree verification report issued by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of the Ministry of Education of China. Applicants who obtained degree certificates from universities within China shall in principle provide the degree verification report issued by China Higher Education Student Information Network (CHSI). (Fresh graduates may submit a certificate of expected graduation first, and the degree certificate together with the degree verification report must be supplemented before enrollment. Applicants who have already graduated shall provide the verification report of their degree certificates at the time of application.)

4. Academic Transcript: A complete academic transcript of undergraduate studies must be submitted.

5. Two Recommendation Letters: Referees shall be associate professors or scholars with equivalent or higher professional titles, or senior professionals in relevant industries.

6. Passport: Applicants must provide the personal information page of their private ordinary passport (the passport shall be valid for more than 1 year). Those who were originally Chinese citizens and later acquired foreign nationality shall additionally provide: household registration cancellation certificate and proof of acquisition of foreign nationality.

7. Admission Application Form: Download, fill in and submit the Hainan Medical University International Student Admission Application Form from the official website of the School of International Education, Hainan Medical University.

8. Language Proficiency Score Report: Applicants must submit the corresponding Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) score report as required by the applied program (master's programs require HSK Level 5 certificate or above).

9. Other Documents: Personal physical examination report; notarized certificate of no criminal record; other documents that can prove one's comprehensive ability may be submitted voluntarily as appropriate.

（三）注意事项

1. 除以上材料外，还需提供1张彩色标准证件照，大小不超200kb，支持*.jpg,*.jpeg,*-png为后缀的图片，像素大于295*413；

2. 不论录取与否，提交的申请材料一律不予退还。本人承诺所提供的个人信息、证件及证明材料真实准确，一经招生单位或认证部门查证为不属实，将被取消申请、录取或学习资格；

3. 若您的证书材料语言非中英文，请您提交中文或英文公证件；

4. 我校及院系招生部门有权要求申请者提供申请材料的书面版原件或者指定认证机构出具的认证文件供进一步查验；

5. 提交申请材料的同时须提供申请人联系电话和电子邮箱；

6.本科学历教育申请者需参加学校组织的入学考试（数学、物理、化学、生物）作为录取参考。

7.对于1+5年制学生，一年后如获得HSK4级证书可申请进入临床医学本科专业学习；未能取得证书者，可选择离校或按照5年制学生入学标准要求执行。

8.对于5年制学生，入学时未取得HSK4级证书，但已具备相应的汉语语言能力，可申请参加我校组织的《国际汉语能力标准》水平考试，通过该考试获得入学资格的学生允许在临床医学专业试读一年，但必须在此期间获得HSK4级证书，并完成临床医学专业相应的学习。如仍未能取得证书，将取消试读资格。

9.特别提醒：我校毕业证与学位证专业名称为“clinical medicine”，申请我校临床医学1+5年制及5年制学生，申请前请自行与所在国家确认，毕业后是否具备相应执业资格。

(III) Notes

1. In addition to the above documents, one standard color passport-style photo is required. The file size shall not exceed 200 KB. Supported formats include *.jpg, *.jpeg and *.png, with a pixel resolution greater than 295*413.

2. All submitted application materials will not be returned regardless of admission results. I hereby promise that all personal information, certificates and supporting documents provided are true and accurate. If verified to be untrue by the admissions institution or certification authority, my application, admission or study eligibility will be revoked.

3. If your certificates and documents are not in Chinese or English, notarized translations in Chinese or English shall be submitted.

4. The university and its faculty admissions departments reserve the right to require applicants to provide hard-copy originals of application materials or certification documents issued by designated certification authorities for further verification.

5. Applicants must provide their contact phone number and email address together with the application materials.

6. Applicants for undergraduate degree programs shall take the university’s entrance examination (covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology), which will be used as a reference for admission.

7. For students under the 1+5-year program, those who obtain the HSK Level 4 certificate after one year may apply to commence undergraduate studies in Clinical Medicine. Those who fail to obtain the certificate may choose to leave the university or comply with the admission requirements for the 5-year program students.

8. For students under the 5-year program who have not obtained the HSK Level 4 certificate upon admission but possess corresponding Chinese proficiency, they may apply to take the Test of Chinese Language Proficiency based on the Standards for International Chinese Language Proficiency organized by our university. Students who pass this test and gain admission eligibility are allowed to undertake a one-year probationary study in the Clinical Medicine program. They must obtain the HSK Level 4 certificate and complete the corresponding Clinical Medicine coursework within this probationary period. Failure to obtain the certificate will result in cancellation of probationary status.

9. Special Reminder: The major name printed on our university’s graduation certificate and degree certificate is "clinical medicine". Applicants to our 1+5-year and 5-year Clinical Medicine programs shall independently confirm with authorities in their home country whether they will be eligible for corresponding professional practice qualifications after graduation prior to application.

四、申请与录取

IV. Application and Admission

（一）提交入学申请  

申请人将所有申请材料在申请截止日期前发送至学校指定邮箱 hnmu_enquire@muhn.edu.cn。

（二）申请及报到截止日期

2025年5月20日，海南省政府国际学生相关奖学金申请截止；

2025年 7 月 15 日，自费生申请截止；

2025年 9 月 15 日，报到截止。

（三）资格审查及考核

学校组织专家进行资格审查、入学考核，确定拟录取名单并发放录取通知书。

（四）发送通知书

学校确认学生学习意向后，将《录取通知书》和《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW202 表）发送给申请人。

（五）特别注意

因故不能按期报到者，应提前向我校提交证明材料办理请假手续，请假时间最长不得超过 4 周，经批准后方可延期入学，否则取消入学资格。

(1) Submission of Admission Application

Applicants shall send all application documents to the designated school email address hnmu_enquire@muhn.edu.cn before the application deadline.

(2) Deadlines for Application and Registration

May 20, 2025: Deadline for applications for Hainan Government Scholarships for international students;

July 15, 2025: Deadline for self-funded student applications;

September 15, 2025: Deadline for registration.

(3) Qualification Review and Assessment

The university will organize experts to conduct qualification review and admission assessment, determine the proposed admission list and issue admission notices.

(4) Issuance of Admission Documents

After confirming the applicant’s intention to study, the university will send the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Foreign Students Coming to China (Form JW202) to the applicant.

(5) Special Notes

Those who are unable to register on time due to special reasons shall submit supporting documents to our university in advance to go through leave procedures. The maximum leave period shall not exceed 4 weeks. Admission may be deferred only upon approval; otherwise, the admission qualification will be revoked.

备注：按照中国相关法律规定，无特殊原因，外国国际学生第一年必须居住在学生宿舍，第二年起可根据相关管理规定由学生提交申请和租房相关材料，提交材料后可在学校附近自行租房居住。所有费用均以人民币结算。

Note: In accordance with relevant laws and regulations of China, international students are required to live in student dormitories in their first year without special reasons. Starting from the second year, students may submit applications and relevant rental documents in accordance with applicable administrative rules. Once the documents are submitted, they may rent private accommodation near the campus. All fees are settled in Renminbi (CNY).

六、奖学金申请

海南医科大学提供的奖学金项目为海南省政府国际学生奖学金和东盟奖学金，本科生资助期限为专业学制年限4-5年；硕士研究生资助期限为3年；资助内容为学费、住宿费和医疗保险费，其它费用自理。

（一）奖学金生申请条件

1. 具备我校国际学生学历生项目申请资格；

2. 未获得中国政府奖学金或其他各类奖学金。

（二）申请材料

1. 填写《海南省政府国际学生奖学金生申请表》，可登录海南医科大学国际教育学院网站http://www.hainmc.edu.cn/sole/ 下载填写后，提交至邮箱：hnmu_enquire@muhn.edu.cn；

2. 我校国际学生学历生项目的所有申请材料。

特别提示：奖学金获得者入学后须按规定参加奖学金年度评审。评审不合格者，将被中止或者取消其享受奖学金的资格。

VI. Scholarship Application

Hainan Medical University offers two scholarship programs: Hainan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students and ASEAN Scholarship. For undergraduate students, the funding period lasts for the length of the academic program, ranging from 4 to 5 years; for master’s students, the funding period is 3 years. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation fees and medical insurance fees, while all other expenses shall be borne by the students themselves.

### Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship Applicants

- Be eligible to apply for the university’s international student degree‑programs;

- Not be recipients of the Chinese Government Scholarship or any other types of scholarships.

1. Complete the *Application Form for Hainan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students*. The form can be downloaded from the website of the School of International Education, Hainan Medical University at http://www.hainmc.edu.cn/sole/. After completion, submit it via email to hnmu_enquire@muhn.edu.cn.

2. All application documents required for the university’s international student degree‑programs.

Special Reminder: Scholarship recipients must participate in the annual scholarship review after enrolment in accordance with relevant regulations. Those who fail the review shall have their scholarship suspended or revoked.
