Hainan Medical University is the only general higher medical institution in Hainan Province and the sole higher medical university in the tropical region of China. The university currently offers four first-level discipline doctoral degree programs in Clinical Medicine, Biology, Basic Medicine and Pharmacy, as well as one professional doctoral degree program in Clinical Medicine. It has seven academic master's degree programs at the first-level discipline level covering Clinical Medicine, Basic Medicine, Pharmacy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Biology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and Intelligent Science and Technology, together with eight professional master's degree programs at the first-level discipline level including Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Stomatology, Pharmacy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Public Administration and Electronic Information. The international student education of our university mainly focuses on degree programs, and it is currently the university with the largest number of international students pursuing undergraduate degree programs in Hainan Province. 一、名额和资助内容

我校有海南省政府国际学生奖学金和东盟奖学金名额若干，本科生资助期限为专业学制年限4～6年；硕士研究生资助期限为3年；资助内容为学费、住宿费和医疗保险费，其他费用自理。

I. Quotas and Scholarship Benefits

Our university has a number of quotas for the Hainan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students and the ASEAN Scholarship. The scholarship support period for undergraduate students is 4 to 6 years, corresponding to the length of the academic programme. For master's students, the support period is 3 years. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation fees and medical insurance premiums. All other expenses shall be borne by the students themselves.

二、申请条件

（一）基本条件

申请攻读本科学士学位者，应获得相当于中国高级中学毕业的学历或证书，年龄在30周岁以下。

申请攻读硕士研究生学位者，应具有学士学位或相当学历，年龄在35周岁以下。

（二）其他条件

1.申请人须拥有外国国籍、持有外国护照，对华友好，身体健康。

2.申请人在生源国行为表现良好，愿意遵守中国法律法规和学校规章制度，符合中国出入境条件。

3.申请人应具有相应的汉语或英语水平，并提供相关证明，申请汉语授课项目要求具有汉语水平考试（HSK）四级证书（180分及以上）或以上水平。申请英语授课项目可适当放宽汉语水平的相关条件，若生源国为英语母语国家国际生英语免试，非英语母语国家国际生要求托福成绩78分及以上或雅思成绩6.0及以上或提供汉语水平考试（HSK）三级证书。

4.根据申请人的高中成绩，择优录取。

5.不能同时申请中国政府奖学金或其他各类奖学金。

II. Application Requirements

(1) Basic Requirements

Applicants for undergraduate bachelor's degree programs shall possess academic qualifications or certificates equivalent to graduation from a Chinese senior high school and be under the age of 30.

Applicants for master's degree programs shall hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualifications and be under the age of 35.

(2) Other Requirements

1. Applicants must hold foreign nationality and a foreign passport, be friendly to China, and be in good health.

2. Applicants shall have good conduct in their home country, undertake to abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as university rules, and meet China's entry and exit requirements.

3. Applicants shall have the corresponding proficiency in Chinese or English and provide relevant supporting documents. For Chinese-taught programs, applicants are required to hold a Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Level 4 certificate with a score of 180 or above. The Chinese language requirement may be appropriately relaxed for English-taught programs. International students from native English-speaking countries are exempted from English proficiency tests. International students from non-native English-speaking countries shall provide a TOEFL score of 78 or higher, an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or a Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Level 3 certificate.

4. Admissions will be granted on a merit basis according to applicants' senior high school academic results.

5. Applicants shall not apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship or any other types of scholarships simultaneously.

三、申请材料及特别提示

（一）主要的申请材料

1.填写《海南省政府国际学生奖学金申请表》（见附件）；

2.经过生源国公证机构公证的最高学历证明和成绩单。（非中、英文本需附上经公证的相应的中文或英文的译文）；

3.HSK成绩单或托福、雅思成绩单；

4.《外国人体格检查记录》；

5.护照复印件（护照有效期超过1年）；

6.申请攻读硕士学位者，须提交两名教授或副教授的推荐信；并提交不少于1000字来华学习或研修计划；

7.经过生源国公证机构公证的无犯罪证明。

（二）特别提示

1.所有申请材料一式两份，一份为公证原件，一份为复印件。无论录取与否，申请材料均不予退还；

2.申请人条件或申请材料不符合规定和要求的，视为无效申请，不予受理；

3.非中文或英文的证件请提供翻译件和公证件；

4.收到申请材料后学校不会一一回复，如需确认请联系学校；

5.色盲、色弱者不得报考医学类专业。（学校将在新生入学后进行色盲、色弱筛查，不符合条件者不得入学）。

III. Application Materials and Special Notices

(I) Main Application Materials

1. Fill out the Application Form for Hainan Government Scholarship for International Students (see attachment);

2. Notarized highest academic certificate and transcript issued by the notary institution of the applicant's home country. (Documents not in Chinese or English shall be accompanied by corresponding notarized Chinese or English translations);

3. HSK transcript or TOEFL / IELTS transcript;

4. Foreigner's Physical Examination Record;

5. Copy of passport (passport valid for more than 1 year);

6. Applicants for master's degree programs shall submit recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors, as well as a study or research plan for China of no less than 1,000 words;

7. Notarized certificate of no criminal record issued by the notary institution of the applicant's home country.

(II) Special Notices

1. All application materials shall be submitted in duplicate: one set of original notarized documents and one set of copies. Application materials will not be returned regardless of admission results;

2. Applications will be deemed invalid and rejected if the applicant fails to meet eligibility criteria or the application materials fail to comply with relevant provisions and requirements;

3. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by translations and notarization certificates;

4. The university will not send individual acknowledgements upon receipt of application materials. Please contact the university if you need confirmation;

5. Students with color blindness or color weakness are not allowed to apply for medical majors. (The university will conduct color blindness and color weakness screening after new students enroll. Those who fail to meet the requirements will be denied admission.)

四、申请时间及录取流程

1.申请截止时间：2025年5月20日前。

2.学校收到申请材料后进行初审，海南省教育厅终审合格后确定录取人选。

3.最终录取结果确定后，学校将公示录取结果，并向录取者寄送《录取通知书》和《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》(JW202表)。

4.奖学金获得者入学后须按规定参加奖学金年度评审。评审不合格者，将被中止或者取消其享受奖学金的资格。

5.入学时间为2025年下半年，具体时间以《录取通知书》为准。录取的学生须严格按照录取通知书规定的时间到海南医学院办理入学、注册手续。不能按录取期限来华学习者，奖学金资格不予保留。

IV. Application Period and Admission Procedures

1. Application Deadline: May 20, 2025.

2. The university will conduct a preliminary review after receiving the application documents. The Hainan Provincial Department of Education will make the final review and determine the admitted candidates upon approval.

3. After the final admission results are confirmed, the university will publicize the admission results and send the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (Form JW202) to admitted applicants.

4. Scholarship recipients must participate in the annual scholarship review as required after enrollment. Those who fail the review will have their scholarship eligibility suspended or revoked.

5. The enrollment period is the second half of 2025, and the specific date shall be subject to the Admission Notice. Admitted students must complete enrollment and registration procedures at Hainan Medical University strictly within the time specified in the Admission Notice. Scholarship eligibility will not be retained for those who cannot come to China for studies within the admission period.
